Innovative New Website iklipz.com Gives Independent Filmmakers a Showcase
Website Features Advisory Board of Industry Insiders
With three simple words: SEE, SHOW, and SHARE -- www.iklipz.com is officially open for business. This innovative new website offers its members the chance to upload their films for free using state-of-the-art streaming technology. Created with a passion for independent cinema, the website provides filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and the independent film community with tools to build an interactive bridge, allowing their films to reach the widest possible audience. Iklipz was formed by a leading group of experts in the fields of design, technology, and entertainment. Two of the website's creative forces include former President of Marketing for Paramount Pictures Arthur Cohen and internet entrepreneur Richard Witkowski.
"Each year filmmakers from all over the country submit over 10,000 films to the film festivals around the country, but only a handful get seen by the masses," says Cohen. "iklipz is here to provide a forum for these filmmakers to let their product be seen by thousands of fellow enthusiasts and other industry insiders."

In addition to the expansive features offered to all members, such as the ability to write blogs, host photos, create personal profiles, and upload and share films via URL, iklipz is proud to announce the iklipz Advisory Board. This panel, consisting of a host of industry executives, insiders, film programmers, agents, and talent, will provide selected filmmakers with feedback on their films. This exclusive board includes Magnolia Pictures' Eamonn Bowles, ThinkFILM's Mark Urman, IFP's Michelle Byrd, Feature Shorts Program UK's Fabien Riggall, First Look's Ruth Vitale, renowned publicist Fredell Pogodin, the Gersh Agency's Arianna Bocco, United Talent Agency's Stuart Manashil, Hamptons Film Festival's Raj Roy, as well as filmmaking talent such as producer Jon Landau, and multi-hyphenate filmmakers Julian Schnabel and Ed Burns. The iklipz Advisory Board is a unique feature of the iklipz "Industry" page, a section of the website devoted to seeking out and rewarding industry talent. Veteran Industry Indie Exec David Dinerstein, most recently President of Paramount Classics, will serve as a programming consultant for the new venture. Dinerstein will oversee all content and film programming along with Susan Wrubel, who formerly headed up acquisitions and co-productions at Paramount Classics.
"Film is important, exciting, and thought-provoking," say Dinerstein and Wrubel, adding, "it deserves to be seen by a vast audience. We think iklipz can and will be the industry insider site for filmmakers looking for a new forum for their work."
iklipz is also proud to announce its exclusive "vlog" (video blog) from Movie City News' esteemed film critic and commentator David Poland.
