About Volunteering for Hull Film

Volunteers are key to the annual Hull International Short Film Festival and perform a number of crucial tasks. Volunteers have the chance to work in a vibrant team environment, gaining experience of how a film festival is run, and seeing some of the best contemporary international short films. Roles include festival publicity, merchandising, customer care, information point and guest check-in receptionists, cinema ushers and ticket collectors, videothéque assistants, festival party helpers, DJs, audience interviewers and reporters, videographers and photographers.

Volunteers will also be aware that taking on this role involves a certain dedication to the Hull Film company statement above and the ability to manage tasks responsibly.

TRAILERS Volunteers

As well as the festival Hull Film will be running the Trailers programme.
TRAILERS will consist of shipping containers placed around the City of Hull; all containing projected moving image works. Two of the containers will house specially commissioned works. The containers will be open to the public for the duration of the 5th Hull International Short Film Festival.
