The BBC's oft chancy entertainment news programme, Liquid News is in the stew after some choice comments about Michael Jackson's sexual preference.
Liquid News host Iain Lee's ad lib'd remarks about the megapopstar's propensity for young boys has caused the publicly funded broadcaster to pull a repeat of the show.
The Guardian newspaper reported the story after Friday's live show and noted that Jackson's lawyers were likely to ask for a copy of the tape to review the situation.
A Beeb spokeswoman backed their action to pull the repeat, "On reflection, some of the remarks in the live show were deemed unsuitable for repeat. These things do happen in live television."
A legal response from Jackson's lawyers is unlikely as past defamatory suits have only fuelled further media intrusion into his life.
