Studio Fuels the Dragon's Flames
Plans for Wales' first film international academy are currently being drawn up in an attempt to breathe life into the nation's stale film industry

The plan is to construct a new film complex, international film academy and leisure park in South Wales that would include a film-based leisure park and which would create around 2,000 jobs for the reason.

The complex is being planned for a site close to the M4, between Bridgend and Cardiff by property developers JV Partnership. It is hoped that the studio's services will attract major international productions and their stars and which will, in turn, attract visitors to the sets and the theme park.

Planning permission for the studios has already been applied for, to be named, in principal Dragon International Studios and will provide advanced equipment and sound services for film and TV productions. Construction is set to begin in 2002 for four years.
