intro
Police in Mumbai (Bombay) are desperately trying to catch an underworld gangster who is threatening to take control of the Bollywood film industry.

Abu Salem has avoided all attempts to put a stop to his dealing, which included trying to extort money from over 12 actors and actresses. As soon as the police manage to curb one part of the extortion racket, another of Salem's agents falls into place. Film Star Amish Puri is in police protection following claims that he was threatened by Salem.

It is believed that Salem is working from outside of India and that he may well be controlling the International film distribution for Indian Films via a front man in London. One Indian film producer told the Times of India that " We have little choice but to agree to Salem's terms since we will be killed if we do not fall in line."
