The Media Business School (MBS) is delighted to announce the launch of calls for applications to participate in the 2012 edition of MPBS – Multiplatform Business School.

Geared to content producers and creators, MPBS is a project based course designed with the in-put of leading industry professionals from across all sectors to offer participants ways of maximising their projects’ intellectual property (IP) value.

The five-day training initiative will take place in Ronda (Spain) from 6th to 10th August 2012 and will focus on the business aspects of creating multi-platform content, with an emphasis on how to appeal to and engage audiences and maximise the commercial value of the project.

MPBS consists of a series plenary sessions, case study presentation, group tutorials and individual consultations that will focus on developing crossmedia financing and production strategies; audience/user behaviour and  engagement; new business models and markets for crossmedia content; structuring transmedia projects within windows; opportunities for creating new types of content; concept marketing and project positioning.

The course is addressed to content producers, designers and directors developing projects across a number of formats (film, television, Internet, mobile and games) and designed for exploitation across a number of platforms.

As well as gaining a detailed insight into the processes involved, the selected group of participants will have the opportunity to significantly extend their professional network of contacts both with the other participants and attending experts, all active players in the crossmedia sectors.

The MBS delivers the course with the support of the MEDIA programme of the European Union, the Spanish Ministry of Culture, the Andalusian Autonomous Government, the City Council of Ronda, the Skillset Film Skills Fund as part of A Bigger Future 2 and Northern Ireland Screen.
