Capital Potter Premiere

The long-awaited film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, will premiere in Scotland next month, it was revealed yesterday.

JK Rowling will attend the star-studded premiere on Tuesday 6 November. It will be hosted by Ster Century Cinema, which opened the 12-screen multiplex at Ocean Terminal in Leith recently. The world premiere of the movie will be held in London two days before the launch north of the Border.

Around 1,000 are expected to attend the Scottish premiere. All tickets for the event - priced at a minimum of £100 for a family of four — are already sold out.

Proceeds will go to Maggie’s Cancer Centre in Edinburgh and the MS Society of Scotland.
