Dog Soldiers Relocate To Luxembourg
The Northmen feature Dog Soldiers, backed by Northern Production Fund, has relocated to Luxembourg, Shepperton Studios and Scotland.

The horror movie is exec-produced by Noel Gay Films (Hellraiser) and concerns a group of soldiers on a training exercise who are attacked by werewolves.

The £3m feature was originally to be shot in Canada, but has been relocated to Luxembourg to take advantage of an investment fund and tax breaks.

Six Scotfilms On FilmFour BritWeek

The films are My Name Is Joe, Orphans, Shallow Grave, Trainspotting and the TV premieres of FilmFour-funded titles are The Debt Collector, (starring Billy Connolly) and Gregory’s Two Girls, starring John Gordon Sinclair.

Graham Norton & TVYP
Comedian and television presenter Graham Norton is to be the first ever patron of the Guardian Edinburgh TV Festival's education initiative, Television and Young People (TVYP), which launched its 2001 scheme at the beginning of March.

Funded by sponsorship, TVYP is the education programme of the Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival giving young people a stepping-stone into the television industry in front of and behind the camera. Every August Bank Holiday, 150 18-21 year olds are chosen through an application process to take part in 5 days of masterclasses, workshops and careers surgeries.

Applications for TVYP 2001 are now being taken on line and through forms distributed at colleges, universities and at Scottish Screen. Anyone interested should visit the TVYP website http://www.tvyp.co.uk for more information. The closing date for applications is 27 April 2001 and this years event takes place between 23-27 August 2001.
