Rolf Harris Sales Firth on Dolphin Location

Animal programme presenter Rolf Harris has been sailing Northern Scotland waters in search of dolphins for his current TV show, Rolf’s Amazing World Of Animals, accompanied by Really Wild Show presenter Michaela Strachan.

Last year Michaela adopted a dolphin called "Bubbles" one of the community of bottlenose dolphins living in the Cromarty Firth. The goup is one of only three in the British Isles and is proving as attractive to visitors as that other great Highland water creature, Nessie.

For the series, due to be aired in August, Rolf interviewed stars like Michaela, Joanna Lumley and Robin Gibb, before heading north to film the dolphins themselves.

Michaela, who is a patron of the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society, says "I am sure I spotted Bubbles during filming. It was a wonderful experience."

Highland and Islands Film Commissioner, Trish Shorthouse says "There’s a growing interest in filming in the Highlands because of the diversity of what is on offer. In this instance it is not the scenery, but the wildlife, and Rolf’s Amazing World of Animals will inevitably encourage other film and TV makers to come here."
