Bovine Epidemic Creates Wilderness Shortage

The current outbreak of foot and mouth disease among farm livestock and precautions in certain areas to help contain the disease, have continued to hit film locations badly.

Among films that were affected last week was the latest feature from Scottish director Lynn Ramsay's Morvern Callar was forced to relocate from Oban in the West Highlands last week.

Latest to be hit by the emergency is The Last Great Wilderness, shooting near Greenock on the Clyde Coast, which is apparently running out of available disease control-free wilderness and may apparently have to relocate to a less restricted area.
