Medb Create One Stop Post Shop For Small Indies
Not content with their first feature film, Gypo raking in a number of awards and international critical acclaim, releasing on DVD February 12th, Medb films have opened their new post production studios in Ramsgate, Kent, just an hour and half from London and for qouta purposes, beyond that crucial M25 ring road.
"We wanted to create a one stop shop for other small indie companies like ourselves needing the all important last part of the puzzle by creating a low cost, high end facility aimed at other people like us" explains producer, Elaine Wickham.
Medb Films, have installed a twenty-seater screening room/sound mixing studio, an HD final cut pro edit suite and an avid media film composer version 11 and have production office facilities. They are also housed at a charming boutique Hotel enabling breakfast and accommodation to be included in all negotiations.
"The great thing about being a director down here in this quiet town by the sea is the total focus without any distractions. Directors and their editors are notorious for working into the night but you won't get extra hours added to your bills here if you do that." adds business partner, writer/director Jan Dunn.
The professional standard of the facilities are Kent Film Office and Screen South approved, both supporters of Medb Films. Prior to going to press, word of mouth alone has already garnered three current feature film bookings for the suites. The company has just been nominated for a Kent Business Award in the creative industry sector. Medb Films are also just completing their second feature film, Ruby Blue starring Bob Hoskins and French screen legend, Josiane Balasko.
