Defence Nurses to Star in Film

The Defence Medical Services Department (DMSD), part of the Ministry of Defence has appointed iceni Productions to produce a unique Defence Nursing web video project. The year long project will see the Midlands based video production company iceni, filming Defence Nurses across the UK giving a fresh perspective on the world of Nursing within the Military.

The nursing video, which will be available online via the DMS website, www.dmsd.mod.uk will form part of a Defence Medical Services (DMS) DVD; which will explain the role of the DMS who provide medical support to the UK Armed Forces both in peacetime and during military operations worldwide.

The DVD is part of DMSD’s external communications programme which seeks to inform the public about the work of the UK’s 6000 regular medical forces.
Commenting on the project the Defence Nursing Advisor to the Surgeon General, Group Captain Wendy Williams said ‘I am pleased to be part of the appointment of an award winning company to promote Defence Nursing. This project will highlight the varied work of our military nurses who operate world wide to provide first class clinical care and support to injured service personnel’ Director of iceni Cathy Bentley commented 'We're thrilled to be working with DMS on this exciting project. It's a unique opportunity to document the vital work that nurses do across the services, and tell the positive stories that can sometimes be overlooked by the press.' Read more at iceni-tv.co.uk – UK Corporate Video Production and DVD Design  Prepared by Andi Jepson - for more information call iceni on +44 (0)1283 792 990.
