BBC's Bleak House Triple Winner With TV Critics

Charles Dance as the Dickensian lawyer Mr TulkinghornBBC show Bleak House has won three TV critic awards. The adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel was named Best Drama Series at the Broadcasting Press Guild Awards. Charles Dance won Best Actor as evil lawyer Mr Tulkinghorn and Gillian Anderson took Best Actress for Lady Dedlock.


 

Gillian Anderson won Best Actress Award for her role as Lady DedlockBBC2's The Thick of It won Best Comedy and Armundo Iannucci the Writer's Award.

Ross Kemp got the Multichannel prize for Sky One show Ross Kemp on Gangs.

Jamie Oliver won a prize for his C4 School Dinners series and Jonathan Ross was named best radio broadcaster.

The South Bank Show's Melvyn Bragg was presented with a lifetime achievement award at the Theatre Royal, London.
