Stewart Till has named his long awaited global film production and distribution company Signpost Films. With an estimated $2bn budget over the first five years, former Polygram veep Till intends to make four to six films in the first year.

Production deals have been struck with Charles Roven’s Atlas Entertainment and Eric Gold and Jimmy Miller’s Gold/Miller Company and backing comes from Canadian fund CDP Capital Communications and LA-based Mosaic Media Group, which owns Atlas and Gold/Miller.

Darryl Iwai, former president of PFE Canada, where he was responsible for the releases of Bean, Dead Man Walking and Fargo has been appointed president, worldwide distribution.

Former President of international sales at Lolafilms UK, Nicole Mackey will become President international sales at Signpost.
