Overview

North West Arts Board supports filmmakers through the North West Film and Video Bursary Fund administered on our behalf by MIDA (Moving Image Development Agency, Tel: 0151 708 9858 for further information). As with many Funds, this is a competitive scheme and funding is limited, so increasing assistance is being given to help filmmakers find alternative sources of funding. This is done through our bulletin, the Information Digest, which features News and Information from North West Arts Board for the arts in the region. However, the Digest also contains information about funding opportunities, training courses, conferences and Internet resources for filmmakers, scriptwriters etc. We also provide computer software that targets grants eg FunderFinder and directories of grant-making trusts, all of which are available in our Library (by appointment).
