Description
Sound & Music Techniques for Narrative Filmmaking with Gustavo Costantini
Fee: £180.00 - Early Bird Discount: Book by 15th December to receive a 10% discount!
This new weekend workshop is aimed at directors, editors, sound designers, composers and screenwriters who want to have a better perspective on the use of sound and music in film.
Beginning from the perspective of Michel Chion's seminal work on film sound, Audiovision, the workshop will provoke participants to think in terms of sound rather than image. Walter Murch's ideas and aesthetics will be discussed and explained through examples suggested by Murch himself.
Participants will be trained in strategies on how to use sound or music in actual situations, and how sounds can be treated and edited in the context of the whole film (considering the film structure and syntax).
