Future Shorts, of Rock'n'Roll Cinema fame, is taking its July
selection to the UK's first outdoor film festival on 22nd-23rd July

Future Shorts has been called "the true pioneers of petit cinema" by
The Guardian, and they are taking a break from their Europe-wide tour
to set up a "village" at the Studio Artois Live festival in Greenwich
Park later this month. Their series of circus tents, with a fairground
theme, will also include visual installations and performers such as
trapeze artists.
They're hoping that you'll come for the carnival atmosphere, but stay
for some quality short films, made by filmmakers from all over the
world.
On the list for this month's programme are shorts dealing with subjects
as diverse as the dark places of a child's imagination (Rabbit) and a
story of love and pasta (Noodles). Among the highlights of the other
seven films are a Röyksopp music video, a diver's swansong and a tale
of cowboys and indians.
Future Shorts will also be stopping in other London
locations, such as Dalston, Tooting and Shepherds Bush, and will be
visiting Brighton, Cardiff, Edinburgh and many more on its nationwide
tour this summer.
