One of the world's most prolific and repected directors gets an Oscar at last.
 Robert Altman, veteran director of over 80 movies and recognised as one of Hollywood's most talented, is to receive an honarary Oscar from the US Film Academy.
His last movie Gosford Park, abouit a murder mystery at an English country house in the 1930's did gain an Oscar, but it was for Best Screenplay and went to Julian Fellowes.
