LFS Workshops presents:

Writers' Gym Series with Ellis Freeman, The London Film School, Central London

Part-time courses in practical tools for creative screenwriting

"I applied because I wanted to be inspired, to think more creatively about my approaches to screenwriting and to improve my knowledge. The Writers' Gym ticked all the boxes for me. It surpassed my expectations! Ellis is a fantastic teacher." - Christie Walker, Writers' Gym participant June 2008

Writers' Gym I Introductory Level

8 week part time course, starts 8th September 2008, Monday Evenings 6:30pm - 8:45pm (one evening per week)

Writers' Gym II For Advanced Writers

8 week part time course, starts 9th September 2008, Tuesday Evenings 6:30pm - 8:45pm (one evening per week)

Attendance on Writers' Gym I is not compulsory

The Writers' Gym aims to stimulate ideas through being playful. Over eight weeks, each course is designed to seek ways to unblock, gain writing habits, develop those ideas and find your voice.

In Writers' Gym I each class consists of a mixture of exercises, games and explanations on different aspects of screenwriting. These exercises might seed new ideas but also aim at opening the participants' minds to new ways of thinking.

Writers' Gym II focuses on the development of a single feature project for each participant. In addition working on their own first drafts, each writer will be assigned the role of script editor of another project on the course.

Deadline for applications: Monday 18th August 2008

For more information of any of the above courses, please visit www.lfs.org.uk or contact Carolyn Atherton: 020 7836 9642 or workshops@lfs.org.uk.
