Bjorks' recent show at California's Coachella festival is described in BoingBoing (again) where she used the Reactable, 'a multi-user electronic music instrument with a tabletop tangible user interface' which has to be seen to be believed. Basically a hi-level synthesizer with an interface simpler than playing lego it's one of a number of table top instruments that try and create a 'tangible interface' for electronic music.
