it's nearly the end of the month, which means it's nearly the first sunday of next month, and time for another lookandlisten, the leeds live av night
this time out its war, with an evening of themed muzak and visuals
loosely themed around war, or more likely how it’s a bit of a wrong do including cal.tv's john lennon george bush mashioke Imagine This (cork film festival winner, below)
we’ll be welcoming the london chapter of the media lounge for a live outing for their nam based av set. expect gratuitous shots of stallone with his top off, charlie not surfing and longtime loving.
we’ll also be graced by the visuals of vj alternative perspective and tunes of the usual eclectic electroindiehop variety
plus we have a huge kit bag full of videos and shorts, including the very special ‘imagine’ by cal.tv featuring george bush singing along to imagine, which won some irish short film award
you know the score by now. down the reform bar, from 8pm til late, £4 entry, huge beanbags, comfy sofas, the return of retro gaming, classy drinks blah blah blah
this weekend we’ll be out and about flying a cruise missile round the dark streets of leeds, as you do, so please look out for us
PS next month it’s april fools day, so a fools theme was a bit of a no brainer. we’re featuring an av set from chop shop tv, plus comic turntablists dj reach and roger species on the 1’s and 2’s. gawd bless em, you may have heard them giving us a shout out from their slot on radio 1 last week. mind you, they were on at about 1am so perhaps you missed it?!
