Low-Budget Low-Down in Brighton’s CineCity Print E-mail

CINECITY - The Brighton Film Festival 

Miranda Robinson, Head of Development at Screen South will host a panel event to discuss why low budget filmmaking is essential to British film-makers at Bighton's CineCity on 25th November. The panel will look at the restrictions of micro and low budgets, marketing a low budget film, and the freedoms that working on a shoe-string provides for filmmakers.

 

Jan Dunn director of GYPO and RUBY BLUE is on the panelJoining Miranda to discuss these issues will be

  • Menhaj Hoods, Director of critically acclaimed feature film KIDULTHOOD.
  • Jan Dunn and Elaine Wickham,  Director and Producer of critically acclaimed feature film GYPO and new low budget film RUBY BLUE starring Bob Hoskins.
  • Michael Cowan, Producer SPICE FACTORY.
  • Tom Kirk, Microwave Scheme, FILM LONDON.

 

The LOW and MICRO BUDGET PANEL event is billed as essential for anyone trying to get their first feature off the ground and for anyone with an interest in how films get made.
