| More about me: |
Kate Taylor has worked with short film distribution and exhibition since 1998, screening filmmakers' work in both traditional and alternative venues such as strip joints, numerous bars, music festivals, a barge and a disused tube station. A self confessed film festival addict, she has worked for the British Council, Kinofilm, onedotzero, as a short film consultant for Sleaze Nation/Topman and since 2003 as the Co-Director of the Halloween Short Film Festival at the ICA and Curzon Soho in London.
In 2003 Taylor launched The Bigger Picture, a project based at Cornerhouse, curating and commissioning short film and video art for the BBC Big Screen in Exchange Square, Manchester. She is currently a freelance shorts programmer and works as Editor of the Northern Film Network, a website and newsletter dedicated to filmmaking news, screenings and opportunities in the North.
